This exceptional opportunity has arisen due to the current EA, after fifteen amazing years in this one-of-a-kind role, deciding it’s time for a change in pace and stepping into a Board support role.  Enjoy the beauty of a full handover to really get to grips with the intricacies of the job, and a knowledge of Mainfreight’s culture, required to provide the highest level of support.  The role calls for an energetic and self-motivated individual who will bring initiative and resourcefulness to providing support and assistance to the Group Managing Director.  Based within the open-plan office, this role will see you be part of the small, highly-effective National and Global Executive Team.

This role promises not to disappoint; your significant experience supporting a senior executive, preferably within a large and complex organization, will ensure you can add value immediately.  Providing the highest level of EA support to the Group MD will include calendar and travel management, attending and taking minutes at Executive and Committee meetings, event coordination, lodging market announcements with NZX, overseeing projects such as the company’s annual report and twice-yearly global newsletter production, requiring complex formatting, and eagle eye editing

As you will appreciate, a role at this level really does require mastery of the written word and verbal communication, organisational and technical skills, legal and business acumen that allows you to add value and instil confidence in those around you.
